Dwayne Wiggins

Before releasing his solo album Dwayne Wiggins' rich history with Oakland, CA 's Tony!
Toni! Toné! — also including his brother, Raphael Saadiq, and their cousin, Timothy
Christian — includes 14 Billboard charting R&B singles, of which five number one hits,
three top 10 Pop singles, one gold album, two platinum albums and one double platinum
album. The trio also appeared in the movie House Party 2 where Wiggins adheres to the
group's sense of freshness, respect of the old school ethic and sense of humor.
Much like his brother, Wiggins has also pursued his own writing and production projects.
As well as also working with Laurnea, he has collaborated with Jody Watley and signed
production deals with Blu (Out of the Blu: Motown, 1995), and more significantly Destiny's
Child, through his Grass Roots entertainment set-up. However, as a highly talented singer,
songwriter, musician and producer it was only to be a matter of time before he delivered his
own solo project. Released through the revamped Motown, "Eyes Never Lie" fits perfectly
into the Neo-Classic Soul movement propagated by label-head Kedar Massenburg through
the likes of Vertical Hold, D'Angelo, Erykah Badu, and Chico DeBarge.
