Renée Diggs

Some people wil recall Renée Diggs from her time as the dynamic lead singer
of the American RnB group Starpoint,which recorded several albums for
Elektra back in the 80s.After the group foulded in the early 90s, Diggs inked
a deal with Capitol but the solitary album she recorded for the label was shelved.
Nowadays, Diggs concentrates her energies on coaching other singers and
working in the artist development field. Undoubtedly though, themost significant
feature is the singer's life is her commitment to running the Renée Diggs Muliple
Sclerosis foundation (Diggs herself was diagnosed as having the desease during
her time with Starpoint).
UK based record company Expansion acquired the right to the 1994 recording and
released "Oasis" in late 2000.
Renée Diggs died march 18th 2005 from a virus infection.
