Silk

This '90s R&B vocal group should not be confused with the late-'70s Philadelphia band, which was
a funk-oriented unit, or the vocal trio Silk from Los Angeles. Timothy Cameron, Jimmy Gates, Jr.,
Jonathan Rasboro, Gary Jenkins, and Gary Glenn issued their debut LP, Lose Control, in 1992
and have excited Urban Contemporary audiences, particularly women, with their engaging harmonies
and aggressively suggestive material. Their debut album "Lose Control" was issued in 1992, 8 of the
10 tracks written or co-written by Keith Sweat. Keith also produced or co-produced the entire album.
Of this album the single "Freak Me" was a huge hit in 1993. Two years later, the group issued a self-titled
LP for Elektra this time without the help of Sweat, followed in 1999 by "Tonight".
" Love Session" appeared in the spring of 2001.
