All-4-One
Comprised of Tony Borowiak, Jamie Jones,
Delious Kennedy, and Alfred Nevarez, the Californian
contemporary R&B vocal quartet All-4-One's 1994 debut album sailed into the Top
Ten thanks to
the enormous hit single "I Swear," which stayed at number one for 11 weeks.
Their second album "And The Music Speaks" didn't do so well. It had a blander,
softer sound and
failed to score big in the charts. In the same year, 1995, they also released a
Christmas album and
the theme song from the Disney movie The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
After this the group began recording the next album "On and On". Unfortunately
this album was
delayed more than a year due to a record company dispute. When it was finally
released in 1999 there
was little support for it and it fared even worse than their 1995 release.
There were plans for a live album in 2001 but but for whatever reason that was
never released.
A year later they signed with the small label American Records and released the
album A41.
