N'Dambi
Contemporary R&B singer N'Dambi was
born Chonita Gilbert in Dallas, taking up the piano as a
child; she first emerged as a backing vocalist for Erykah Badu, later
contributing to her 1997
breakthrough album Baduizm. N'Dambi's solo debut Little Girl Lost Blues was
released in 1999
followed by Turnin' up & Cosignin' in 2001.
